Student Book Review: With Malice by Eileen Cook

With Malice is a twisting drama of a mystery. When eighteen-year-old Jill Charron wakes up in a hospital bed with no memory of the last six weeks, she learns that she was involved in a fatal car crash. It happened during a school trip to Italy, and she soon learns that the media is portraying her as a sociopath that killed her best friend.  She has no recollection of the incident, but she knows one thing: She would never hurt her best friend. As her memory slowly comes back to her, and more facts and interviews about the case come out, this slippery tale becomes more twisted with every chapter.

This mystery is such a page-turner. Italy, drama, murder, could you imagine a more captivating premise? With Malice won’t just pull you in from the first page, it will keep you stuck reading it until the last one. On a ten-star scale, I would give this book eight and a half stars. It was interesting, it was full of surprises, however, it was confusing at times. If you love reading books full of intrigue, drama and plot twists you should definitely try this one.
